    Sabor Foods began in Newark, NJ, as a family restaurant, Sabor Latino, founded by Mr. Pardo. As the restaurant grew to various locations, we began producing our own fresh bread, tamales, and seasonal spice blends. These early efforts laid the foundation for our ongoing commitment to handcrafted, authentic Latin flavors.

Did you know Latinos will make up 26% of the U.S. population by 2050? Yet authentic Latin foods still don’t occupy the shelf space they deserve. That gap is exactly why our story matters.

In 1999, when authentic Latin flavors were even harder to find, our family founded Sabor Latino. What began as a family restaurant quickly became a local staple and grew into a wholesale bakery serving immigrant communities from all walks of life.

With generations of passed-down recipes for handcrafted bread, tamales, and spice blends, we learned that sharing food builds a connection that lives far beyond the table.

That belief inspired our evolution. Sabor Latino became Sabor Foods, bringing people better-for-you Latin classics rooted in our family’s traditions. With over a million loaves sold, our journey is just getting started.
