  • Founded in 1999

    Sabor Foods began in Newark, NJ, as a family restaurant, Sabor Latino, founded by Mr. Pardo. As the restaurant grew to various locations, we began producing our own fresh bread, tamales, and seasonal spice blends. These early efforts laid the foundation for our ongoing commitment to handcrafted, authentic Latin flavors.

    In 2020, we began baking organic bread using artisanal methods, staying true to our roots while focusing on health and nutrition. As supermarkets began seeking organic products that reflect the tastes of growing Latin communities, this propelled us into becoming a consumer goods brand, rooted with bold Latin classics.

Our Story

Hola! This is our story.

Did you know Latinos will make up 26% of the U.S. population by 2050? Yet Latin foods still aren’t showing up on enough shelves, and that gap is exactly why our story matters.

In 1999, when authentic Latin flavors were even harder to find, our family founded Sabor Latino. The restaurant quickly became a neighborhood staple and soon expanded into a wholesale bakery.

With generations of passed-down recipes for handcrafted bread, tamales, and spice blends, we learned early on that food is a powerful connection to our culture and to the people we share it with.

That belief inspired our evolution. Sabor Latino became Sabor Foods, bringing people better-for-you Latin classics rooted in our family’s traditions. With over a million loaves sold, our journey is just getting started.
